Vietnamese New Year 2023: Year of the Cat

Tet Tet Tet is coming!

Vietnamese New Year is also called Tet which is the most important traditional holiday in Vietnam and also marks the longest public holiday in the country. It falls on January 22nd in 2023. Vietnamese people enjoy a 6-day national public holiday from January 21st (Tet Eve) to January 26th, 2023 as Vietnam government policy.

Vietnamese New Year is the most important festival of the year in Vietnam, celebrating love, the start of spring, and the best of hopes for the new year. It is observed on the first day of the first month of the Vietnamese Lunar Calendar and ranges between late January and mid-February on the Gregorian calendar.

Tet is the Vietnamese version of the Lunar New Year in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan but is also influential in areas with major Chinese diasporas, such as Singapore. Several other Asian countries, including South Korea and Vietnam, celebrate their own lunar new year holidays as well.

In this spirit, the Hung Thinh team wishes you a prosperous, successful, and healthy new year of the cat!
