Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the biggest traditional festivals in many Asia countries.
It is also called Moon Festival because it is celebrated on the 15th of August in the lunar calendar when the moon is full and very bright.
In most Asia countries, Mid-Autumn Festival is an occasion for family reunions. In Vietnam, the Festival is also a wonderful time for children. They receive a lot of cakes and candy and best wishes from their relatives, families, and the government.
A special thing about the festival is the Lion and Dragon Dance performance. The dance mimics a lion’s or a dragon’s movement with the hope to bring good luck and fortune.
